Mike and Kari were appointed as Assemblies of God missionaries to Tanzania in 1995 and have been involved in establishing a training program for children’s ministers for the national fellowship.
They also have helped to develop tools to enhance children’s ministries. They will continue to be advocates for children’s ministries on the African continent through encouraging and training national believers to minister to children.
Their new assignment is to the central African country of Democratic Republic of the Congo. where they will continue to pursue their vision of reaching the next generation, one child at a time.
Mike is a second generation missionary who grew up in East Africa. He met Kari at Bible school. They married and have 2 grown children, Josh who is now married, and Katie. After serving as pastors in the US, they have served as children's ministry missionaries in East and now central Africa.
